Undersecretary of the National Wisdom Movement, Jassim Mouhan, said the recently announced cabinet lineup is “frustrating,” saying political parties expected a better government program.
Mouhan also added in press remarks that Prime Minister Adil Abdel Mahdi is following the same steps as his predecessors.
The Iraqi Parliament convened to vote on the new cabinet and government program on Wednesday, as it confirmed 14 ministers on the list. Also, 220 out of the 329 MPs gave the government a vote of confidence.
The Interior and Defense ministries, which are of key importance, haven’t been approved yet.
