MP Qutaiba al-Jubouri said that wise Shia religious Marja is and will always be the safety valve for the political
process in Iraq and is credited with directing the country's path toward a better
situation, and for the interest of the public.
Jubouri said in a press statement the Iraqi people recognize the credit of the Marja', especially when the crises in the country reach a deadlock.
"The MP condemns the fact that some politicians speak on behalf of the religious Marja and therefore deliver incorrect information to the media about the situation in some issues that the Marja has not mentioned," Jubouri added.
He slammed claims by some politicians that the Marja do not like the appointment of parliamentarians as new ministers, describing such claims as "baseless", adding that he didn't announce any decision concerning this issue.
"These politicians must stop creating chaos and refrain from putting the name of the Marja in any statements expressing their personal opinions," Jabouri said.
