The Supreme Judicial Council of
Iraq, headed by the Nineveh Federal Court of Appeal, issued an arrest warrant for Wa'ed Mahmoud Ahmad al-Qado,
commander of one of the Iranian Militias in Iraq and Syria (IMIS).
This comes within th Iraqi law that stipulates that any person who insults the Iraqi parliament, government, judiciary, armed forces or other state bodies, shall be punished by imprisonment for a term not exceeding seven years or by paying a fine.
IMIS is considered a terrorist group by a number of countries especially that they killed, abducted, tortured and robed thousands of Iraqis since the militias were established.
