Dawa Party member Jasim Mohammed Jaafar said Sunday that reassigning Hoshyar Zebari as Iraq's Finance Minister is deemed a “political shame.”
Jaafar stated in press remarks that Prime Minister Adil Abdel Mahdi only decided to give the ministry to KDP’s leader Zebari after the party lost Iraq’s presidency.
"The return of the Zebari to be the minister of finance after the parliament sacked him because of financial corruption is a huge political disgrace and is rejected by most blocs," he added.
The electricity, health, oil and transport ministries will be assigned to members of Alliance Towards Reforms coalition in the new cabinet headed by Prime Minister Adil Abdul Mahdi, a coalition member said to The Baghdad Post on Saturday.
Two ministries, namely transport and oil, will be assigned to Basra politicians, a source told the Baghdad Post in an interview.
