KDP secures 45 seats after ballot counting


The Kurdistan Democratic Party (KDP) has reportedly won 45 seats in the next parliament of Kurdistan, press outlets said.

The KDP has reportedly received 45 seats after gaining around 735,886 votes.

On the other hand, the Patriotic Union of Kurdistan (PUK) has obtained 21 seats.

Moreover, the Change Movement got 21 seats, while the New Generation claimed eight seats.

The Kurdistan Independent High Electoral Commission (KIHEC) is expected to announce the final results of the election tonight.
