Security forces foiled a late Friday attack on a security checkpoint, west of Anbar, killing three ISIS members.
A statement by the mobilization forces in Anbar said no casualties occurred among troops.
Earlier on Friday, security forces told the press that terrorists attacked the special operations regiment headquarter, west of Ramadi. Four militias, including an officer, were wounded in the attack.
Security reports indicate that the militant group still poses threat against stability in the country. The group still has dormant cells, through which it carries out attacks, across Iraq like it used to do before 2014.
