Masjedi said Thursday that Iran's consulates in Iraq will next focus on economic work.
This came during a meeting in Najaf attended by a number of officials of Iran's various consulates in Iraq.
Masjedi called for moving to the economic side and having Iranian companies take advantage of available investment opportunities in Iraq.
He asserted the importance of bilateral cooperation in order to develop the trading system of the two countries and prepare the necessary ground to increase the export of goods, services, energy and tourism.
Each Iranian consul presented an explanation of the nature of the joint relations with the Iraqi province in which the consular headquarters is located, and all stressed the need to develop these relations.
