According to French reports, the Shiite center was closed after authorities confirmed its support for terrorist organizations and its incitement of violence.
French security official Michel Lalande told Le Figaro that the Centre Zahra has recently been targeted by the French security services because of its "suspicious activities, propaganda of armed terrorist organizations, and incitement to hatred and discrimination."
Lalande said that the center used propaganda in its speeches to support the Lebanese Hezbollah militia and other Iranian-backed militias around the world designated as "terrorist organizations".
