French President Emmanuel Macron on Tuesday reshuffled his
cabinet in a bid to buttress his waning support.
"French President Emmanuel Macron made a cabinet
reshuffle today, in which Christophe Castaner, one of his supporters and leader
of the ruling party, was appointed minister of interior," Reuters reported.
"This amendment aims at stabilizing the government
after a series of resignations as well as reviving the course of reforms, which
witnessed signs of stumbling," the report added.
Finance Minister Bruno Le Maire, who was in charge of a
fraudulent effort to reform the Euro Zone, and Foreign Minister Jean-Yves Le Drian
are retaining their posts.
