Erdogan, King Salman discuss investigations into disappearance of Khashoggi

President of Turkey and King of Saudi Arabia discussed the investigation into the disappearance of Saudi Journalist Jamal Khashoggi, through telephone on Sunday, Turkish presidential sources said.

According to the sources, Turkish President Tayyip Erdogan and Saudi Arabia's King Salman affirmed the importance of creating a joint working group between the two states, as part of the investigation.

Earlier in October, Khashoggi disappeared in Turkey reportedly after he left the Saudi Consulate in Istanbul. Saudi Consul allowed a number of journalists to inspect the consulate and they didn’t find the missing journalist.

Saudi Arabia and Turkey formed a joint team to investigate into the incident.
