Head of Iran-Oman Chamber of Commerce Mohsen Zarrabi and Omani Commerce and Industry Minister Ali bin Masoud Al Sunaidy met on Sunday in the Omani capital to explore avenues for bolstering and reinvigorating bilateral relations, especially in trade and economic fields.

The two sides also discussed signing a free trade agreement, settling banking issues, using Omani ports as a hub for export of Iranian goods and increasing the trade exchanges volume between the two countries, news outlets reported.

They also agreed on boosting Tehran’s export of technical and engineering services as well as expansion of its non-oil exports to Oman.

According to Iran Customs report, Iran exported 734,000 tons of goods worth $223m to Oman in three months, starting March 21.
