First Deputy Parliament Speaker Hassan al-Kaabi asserted on
Saturday the need for the voice of the Arabs to be present and strong in the
meetings of the Inter-Parliamentary Union.
A statement from the Kaabi’s office said that the Iraqi parliamentary delegation participating in the work of the Inter-Parliamentary Union in Geneva is being headed by Kaabi. The delegation attended a coordination meeting of the Arab Group, which comes to unify their positions on the issues before the Inter-Parliamentary Union.
Kaabi stressed that the voice of the Arabs should be present and strong in the meetings of the Inter-Parliamentary Union in order to contribute to addressing current issues, developing effective solutions to them, and influencing decisions to serve Arab peoples.
