Iraqi President Barham Salih stressed the importance of building a national developed professional army that belongs to Iraq and contributes to the country's post-war reconstruction.
The remark of the Iraqi president came during his meeting with Chief of Staff of the Iraqi Army Othman al-Ghanimi and his accompanying delegation that grouped security cadres of the country.
Salih asserted the need to build an Iraqi army that is capable of achieving progress besides protecting the sovereignty of the homeland.
He further hailed the victories attained by the Iraqi armed forces in the anti-terror war.
