A Saudi diplomat has condemned the Iranian regime for covering up its own destructive policies by making accusations against Saudi Arabia.
Saudi Arabia’s Ambassador to the United Nations Abdullah al-Mouallimi has sent letters to UN Secretary-General Antonio Guterres and the president of the Security Council, stating that his country deplores Iran’s accusations that the kingdom was behind the attack against Iranian Revolutionary Guards in Ahvaz on September 22.
Mouallimi stated that Tehran has wasted its resources by financing terrorism and now is attacking Saudi Arabia rather than changing its own destructive policies.
He added that Iran has supported Houthi militias in Yemen and provided them with ballistic missiles, while also seeking to destabilize other countries in the region through its terrorist organizations like Hezbollah.
The Saudi ambassador also pointed out reports connections between al-Qaeda and Iran, which is believed to be hiding and supporting members of the terrorist organization.
