Iranian Central Bank Governor Abdolnaser Hemmati and his Russian counterpart Elvira Nabiullina held a meeting in Moscow to discuss boosting trade and financial ties between the two sides.
During the meeting, the two sides conferred on the use of national currencies in bilateral trade, the use of financial messaging systems, the increase of the level of brokerage relationships, and the funding of civil and development projects.
This follows a meeting between Iranian and Russian presidents in Tehran to discuss boosting trade and financial ties between the two countries.
Hemmati has traveled to the Russian capital at the head of a high-ranking delegation.
According to Hemmati, selling oil, purchasing basic goods, expansion of banking relations, trading in national currencies, and development of trade and economic relations, were among the subjects, which were discussed during previous meetings between the two countries.
