Parliament's Monday-night session to vote on the new president has been postponed until Tuesday.
Parliament Speaker Mohamed al-Halbusi had earlier postponed the session by half an hour due to lack of quorum.
According to a source, the Building Coalition had earlier decided to boycott the session.
Meanwhile, Barham Salih, the PUK's candidate, walked out of the Parliament with his accompanying delegation prior to the start of the session.
The race for president is largely seen to be between the PUK's Salih and the rival KDP's candidate, Fuad Hussein.
