Kubiš expressed his delight for the "successful" Kurdistan region's parliamentary elections that took place on Sunday.
Kubiš said that the turnout in the elections is evidence of the people's political maturity, describing the successful election as evidence of preserving the principles of democracy in the region.
The parliamentary election in the Kurdistan region witnessed a high turnout in the capital Erbil, which reached 58.57 percent, according to Erbil's official in the Kurdistan Region's Independent High Elections and Referendum Commission (IHERC).
