Argentina's President Mauricio Macri urged Iran to cooperate in investigating the AMIA Jewish Center terror attack that took place in Buenos Aires in 1994, which killed 85 people and injured hundreds others.
Alberto Nisman, former
Argentinian prosecutor, held Iran responsible for the suicide bombing reportedly
carried out by a Hezbollah member.
The horrible attack
came two years after the bombing of the
Israeli embassy in Buenos Aires, which took place in March 1992, killing 29 people and
wounding dozens others.
The Islamic Jihad Organization claimed
responsibility for that bombing. According to former CIA case officer Robert Baer, this organization operates under the umbrella of
Iran's Hezbollah.
