Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu claimed Thursday that Iran has a secret nuclear facility in Tehran, and he slammed Europeans' "appeasement" of the clerical regime.
During his address at the UN General Assembly, Netanyahu stated, "Today I am disclosing for the first time that Iran has another secret facility in Tehran," as he showed pictures of the site.
He also called on the IAEA to go inspect the facility and investigate Iran's attempts to attain atomic weapons.
In strong language directed at Iran's leaders, Netanyahu warned, "We will act against you in Syria. We will act against you in Iran. We will act against you wherever and whenever."
The Israeli leader also criticized European countries' "appeasement" of Iran, saying, “The same week Iran was caught red-handed for trying to murder European citizens, European leaders were laying out the red carpet for President Rouhani, pledging to give them more money.”
Netanyahu called on European leaders to join the US sanctions against Iran put in place under President Donald Trump's administration, which he stated were working.
"Iran’s economy was booming. Now it’s collapsing,” he said, adding, “If that’s little economic impact, imagine what will happen with the next batch of US sanctions in November.”
