Iran warns of revenge against U.S., whoever responsible for Ahvaz attack

Revolutionary Guard’s acting commander Gen. Hossein Salami vowed revenge against the Ahvaz attack’s perpetrators and the “triangle of Saudi Arabia, Israel and the United States,” AP reported.

Speaking at a funeral ceremony held for the victims of the terror attack on a military parade in the southwestern city of Ahvaz.

Gunmen opened fire at a military parade in the southwestern Iranian city of Ahvaz on Saturday, killing around 25 people, half of them members of the Revolutionary Guards, according to state news agencies.

“You are responsible for these actions; you will face the repercussions,” the general said. “We warn all of those behind the story, we will take revenge.”

The Ahvaz attack has shaken Iran, currently facing turmoil in light of U.S. sanctions over Tehran and withdraw from its nuclear deal.

Thousands of mourners gathered at the Sarallah Mosque on Ahvaz’s Taleghani junction, chanting slogans of “Death to U.S.” and “Death to Israel.”
