An official source in the Saudi Foreign Ministry condemned the Iranian claims concerning Saudi Arabia's alleged support of the incidents that took place in Iran's Ahvaz city.

An attack was carried out on the Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps' parade in Iran’s southwestern city of Ahvaz, reportedly causing the death of 29 people and the injury of over 60 others.

According to Saudi Press Agency, the source affirmed Saudi Arabia's stance towards other nations, saying that Saudi Arabia does not interfere in other countries' domestic affairs, and totally rejects other countries' intervention in its own affairs.

The source added that Iran is the biggest sponsor of terrorism in the region and the whole world, asserting that the Iranian regime has always worked on spreading chaos, destruction, extremism and sectarianism, SPA reported.

Supreme Leader of Iran Ali Khamenei said earlier that there are parties that are in contact with some countries responsible for the terrorist attack.

Khamenei asserted the attack was carried out by parties that are protected by the U.S. and funded by Saudi Arabia and the United Arab Emirates.
