Bahrain prosecutors say the militia received training and support from Iran's Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC).

Ahmed al-Hamadi, a Bahraini security official, said that the trial of the defendants will start on October 3, Bahrain News Agency reported.

The Bahraini authorities have already arrested 111 people out of the 169 accused and charged them with forming the Bahraini Hezbollah, a subordinate of the armed Shi'ite group, according to BNA.

The defendants are also accused of planning assassinations and receiving training in handling weapons and manufacturing explosives.
