At least two civilians were wounded Wednesday in an improvised explosive device (IED) explosion in northern Baghdad, a security source said.
Security troops, according to the source, “cordoned off the blast scene, while the ambulance transferred the wounded to nearby hospital.”
A total of 104 Iraqi civilians and policemen were killed, while 177 others were injured in acts of terrorism, violence and armed conflict in Iraq in March, according to casualty figures by the United Nations Assistance Mission for Iraq (UNAMI).
Iraqi cities are bearing the brunt of ISIS terror. Explosions, suicide bombings and assassinations are a commonplace. Many civilians and police and army personnel die in the aftermath of this violence.
