A lawmaker with the State of Law Coalition Abdel-Salam al-Maliki described his party's negotiations as 'very good', asserting that a 90-percent agreement has been reached with negotiators over the formation of the largest parliamentary bloc.
a press statements released on Wednesday, Maliki added that the negotiations
between the State of Law Coalition and Hadi al-Amiri's Fatah Alliance
are ongoing according to understandings based on mutual partnership.
He added that the issue of selecting the most suitable candidates for the main three presidency posts in Iraq (Parliament Speaker, Prime Minister has almost been settled.
State of Law coalition won 26 seats, while Fatah bloc won 47 seats.
For its part, Fatah Alliance confirmed on Tuesday that the largest bloc's shape will be clear during the Parliament's first session scheduled for next Monday.
