Brian Hook compares Iranian regime to 'Mafia'

The US special representative for Iran and the leader of Iran Action Group Brian Hook urged Iranian regime to allow the International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA) to inspect its nuclear sites.

Addressing audiance at the National Security Summit hosted by The Foundation for Defense of Democracies on Tuesday, Hook said that Iran must stop the development of ballistic missiles, enriching uranium and to withdrawl all of its miltias in from Syria.

Hook compared the Iranian regime to the mafia, noting that the Trump withdrawl for the nuclear deal was necessary to drain the sources that Iran uses to fund its terrorist activites.

"Why would Iran spend less money on terrorism when it is given more money to spend on terrorism", he added.

He noted that the "list of 12" that was put forward by the Seretary of State Mike Pompeo was created in response to Iran's agression.

“what we’re trying to do is educate” that regime is one of oppression of its own people, “deeply hypocritical, presents itself with largely religious veneer”, he said.
