Iraqi forces affiliated to the Military Intelligence Directorate at Salahuldin Operations Command have managed on Tuesday to seize arms and missiles depot at Shirqat district in Salahuddin province, the Iraqi Defense Ministry said in a statement on Tuesday.
The Ministry added that the confiscated arms included a 12-millimetre 30 mortar shells, ten RPJ missiles, three hand grenades and a big number of explosive devises.
“All explosive materials were remotely detonated at the site,” the statement pointed out.
In late December, 2017, Iraqi PM Haider Abadi declared the full defeat of ISIS. But the terror group's sleeper cells still carry out sporadic attacks against civilians and vital facilities.
