Security forces arrested six suspects over terror-related charges in Salahuddin province.
In a statement, Spokesman for Security Media Center Yahya Rasool said the security forces detained the suspects during a preemptive operation in Salahuddin.
Rasool explained that the security forces found and destroyed military equipment belonging to ISIS, 19 improvised explosive devices (IEDs) and 10 jerrycans filled with explosive materials during an inspection operation in Banat Hassan town, near Rasasi river, Salahuddin.
Iraqi cities are bearing the brunt of ISIS terror. Explosions, suicide bombings and assassinations are a commonplace. Many civilians and police and army personnel die in the aftermath of this violence.
