Adviser to Iraqi President Amir al-Kenany said Parliament's first session will be held on September 1 or 2.
Kenany explained that a presidential decree will be issued concerning parliament's first session.
On August 19, Federal Supreme Court has ratified the final results of May 12 parliamentary elections.
According to Iraq's constitution, parliament's first session must be held within 15 days from the date of the ratification of the general elections results.
The Parliamentary elections was marked by record low turnout. It was the first since Iraq declared victory over the ISIS group and the fourth since the 2003 US-led invasion that toppled Saddam Hussein.
