Camps of Internally Displaced Persons (IDPs) in Kurdistan region are suffering dire conditions because of the severe lack of medicine and food, Himeen Baglan, a member of the United Nations High Commission for Human Rights said on Wednesday.
In a statement, Baglan said that camps are suffering since a year ago.
He called on the Iraqi government to quickly send food and medical aid to ease the suffering of people living there.
Baglan warned of of the spread of diseases and food shortages in the Salahudin camp.
He cited many cases of people suffering dire conditions in the report prepared by the commission members.
Baglan called on the government officials to shoulder their responsibilities to save those people who lost their homes and were victims of the war
