Samarra Operations' Commander Major General Emad al-Zuhairi announced on Wednesday that two suicide bombers were killed and another one was injured, in addition to seizing 15 hand-grenades in eastern Samarra.
In a press statement, of which The Baghdad Post obtained a copy, al-Zuhairi said that Samarra Operations Command
managed to foil a terrorist attack plotted by ISIS militants at al-Mu'tasim district
in eastern Samarra.
Al-Zuhairi added that the force have managed to kill two suicide bombers and cause injuries to another one.

The operation comes in directives by the commander-in-chief of the Armed Forces to continue pursuing and eliminating Islamic State remnants throughout the country,” the statement read.
