Iraqi forces have seized an arms depot in Ramadi Island in Anbar Province, a security source told The Baghdad Post on Sunday.
A statement from spokesman for Iraqi security forces Brig. Gen. Yehia Rasool said that the military intelligence officers from the 10th brigade managed to seize an underground ISIS arms depot at Ramadi Island in Anbar Province.
Rasool added that the confiscated arms included two explosive devices, 17 mortar shells and two Katyusha Rockets.
In late December, 2017, Iraqi PM Haider Abadi declared the full defeat of ISIS. But the terror group's sleeper cells still carry out sporadic attacks against civilians and vital facilities.
