Iraq launches 2 military operations to hunt down ISIS terrorists in Diyala
Commander of Diyala Operations Lieutenant General Mizher al-Azzawi announced on Thursday the launch of two military operations aimed to hunt down ISIS terrorists in Hamrin, Nada regions in Diyala province.

In a press statement, al-Azzawi said that joint police and army forces, backed by the Iraqi air forces, have launched two military operations to hunt down ISIS terrorists in Hamrin, Nada regions in Diyala.

He added that the Iraqi forces managed to destroy a guesthouse within Hamrin military operation.

The terrorists are controlling roads from Baghdad to Kirkuk and Mosul. The area of Hamrin Mountains and rural villages have become a hot spot of new ISIS operations. Some reports indicate ISIS controls 75 villages and that the ISF have sought to purge up to 175 villages.
