Spokesman for Interior Ministry Saad Maan said Wednesday that border guards clashed with terrorists and killed one of them in northern Al-Qaim district, northwest of Baghdad.
In a statement, Maan explained that the border guards spotted the terrorists by using thermographic cameras and opened fire at them, killing one of them who was wearing an explosive belt.
Iraqi cities are bearing the brunt of ISIS terror. Explosions, suicide bombings and assassinations are a commonplace. Many civilians and police and army personnel die in the aftermath of this violence.
