Iraqi Prime Minister Haider al-Abadi

Iraq's Prime Minister Haider al-Abadi downplayed the chances of candidates for his post, saying that they do not have a real chance in becoming the next prime minister.

However, Abadi underlined in press statements that Leader of Fatah Alliance Hadi Al-Amiri is the only candidate that can pose a threat for his bid for a second term in office.

He also wrote-off the chances of Kurdish candidate for presidency, citing that he does not speak Arabic.
