Iraqi security forces have arrested on Wednesday a top ISIS terrorist group's leader in the city of Mosul.

Interior Ministry spokesperson Genral Saad Maan said that the arrested leader was working as the head of ISIS' Diwan Al-Zakat (House of wealth) during its presence in the city.

On July 10, 2017, Iraq’s Prime Minister Haider al-Abadi announced the full liberation of Mosul and reclaim the city after three years of ISIS control.

Although Abadi announced full liberation of Iraqi lands and the end of war against ISIS in December 2017, Iraqi cities are witnessing acts of violence as terrorist group's sleeper cells continue to launch attacks targeting civilians and security forces.
