Fourteen ISIS terrorists, including top leaders, have been arrested in the left bank of Mosul, Iraqi officials said Wednesday.
The arrest was based on accurate intelligence information.
The detained terrorists were handed over to authorities concerned for further legal measures.
ISIS terror group captured in mid-2014 large swathes of Iraq and Syria. But a US-led coalition, formed in 2015, managed to oust the terror group from both countries.
Most of the terror group's elements have fled to neighboring countries including Turkey.
Also in Iraq, ISIS sleeper cells still carry out sporadic attacks against civilians and facilities.
