Sairun alliance unwilling to work with Maliki coalition over divisions

Sadr's alliance unwilling to work with Maliki's coalition due to deep differences

The Sairun Alliance, backed by the prominent Shiite cleric Muqtada Sadr, decided to distance itself from Nouri al-Maliki's State of Law Coalition due to deep differences between the two.

For his part, Sairun alliance key figure Mohamed Rishk, said that there are deep and several problems with the State of Law coalition, especially with regard to the formation of government.

He added that the main reason behind such a step is that the State of Law coalition has no visions when it comes to rebuilding the state.

He added that those who have higher seats in the parliament is will form the government, noting that Sairun alliance will be assigned to forming the coming government

He pointed out that all talks are suspended until the end of the protests currently staged in southern Iraq, stressing that Sairun alliance has recently reached advanced understandings with Fateh, Victory alliances and the National Wisdom Movement.
