A high-profile Iraqi delegation is currently visiting Saudi Arabia to discuss a number of files related to transportation, investment,
rehabilitation of some common roads, the planning ministry spokesman said on Thursday.
The spokesman added that the visit comes within the framework of the Iraqi-Saudi Coordination Council chaired by the Minister of Planning and Trade Minister Salman Aljumaili.
He added that the visit will prepare for the Iraqi ministerial delegation headed by the Minister of Planning to sign what was agreed upon after reaching understandings over common issues.
He added that the files discussed by the Iraqi delegation are related to previous and future memorandums of understanding concerning the joint airlines, in addition to opening a sea line between Dammam and Umm Qasr.
They also would discuss all files related to boosting investment between the two countries.
The visit comes as part of directives by Prime Minister Haider al-Abadi
