Hundreds of Basra residents demonstrated on Friday in front of the governorate building to demanding the dismissal of the province's governor and the directors of the districts.
During the demonstration, protesters called for improving basic services in the province, providing job opportunities and taking serious security measures to protect their protests.
In Nasiriyah city, dozens of citizens demonstrated at Al-Haboubi Square to protest against lack of basic services and jobs opportunities.
Demonstrators stressed on the importance of protesting in a peaceful way, confirming that that they will never target public and private property.
On the other hand, Security began to fire tear gas in order to disperse protestors by force.
