High Electoral Commission (HEC) said it had completed the manual recounting and sorting of Parliamentary elections' votes in Nineveh, which political parties appealed and complained against.
In a statement, Spokesman for the HEC explained that HEC's judges supervised the process of manual recounting of votes. The Sadrists took the lead in the Iraqi elections with 54 seats.
The Parliamentary elections was marked by record low turnout. It was the first since Iraq declared victory over the ISIS group and the fourth since the 2003 US-led invasion that toppled Saddam Hussein.
