Iraqi
premier Haider al-Abadi has given orders to IMIS militiamen to put down the
ongoing protests in southern Iraq, informed sources told The Baghdad Post.
According to the sources, Abadi considers the ongoing protests a coup against the government of the Green Zone in Baghdad.
This comes as protests have been gripping the southern parts of Iraq over deteriorating services, power outages and high unemployment.
As to Iran, it seeks to hijack the protests and mar them to serve its scheme aimed to impede Iraqi oil exports.
