Kirkuk's attack aims to obstruct manual count of votes process: Turkmen

Turkmen Front said on Monday the attack that was carried out in Kirkuk province targeting ballot boxes site aims to obstruct the process of manual recounting of parliamentary elections votes.

The front pointed out that this attack is an organized political crime that aims to obstruct the recounting process, calling on the Iraqi government to tighten security measures in protecting ballot boxes.

On Sunday, suicide attack was carried out near a storage site housing parliamentary elections ballot boxes in Kirkuk.

On June 10, a Baghdad storage site housing ballot boxes from Iraq’s May parliamentary election has caught fire.

On Tuesday, manual recount of parliamentary elections votes will be held in Baghdad.
