MP: those behind Mosul fall were not called to account for political reasons

Lawmaker Bunadim Kana, chairman of the parliament's labor and social affairs committee, on Thursday said that the parliament is responsible for any negligence that happens in the major security issues that affects citizens and the country.
"More than 30 committees have been formed by parliament to probe into reasons behind this negligence. And all of them did not follow through on the investigations despite reaching initial results," the lawmaker said.
On the fall of Mosul, he said there are six personalities, both civilian and military, have been confirmed to be responsible for this disaster.
"The names of those figures were submitted to the government and judiciary. But they went nowhere."
