Sadr freezes Saraya al-Salam brigades' activities in Basra for 2 years

The leader of Sadrist Movement, Moqtada al-Sadr has ordered to freeze the activities of Saraya al-Salam brigades in Basra for two years.

In a statement, Sadr media office said that the man in charge for the brigades in Basra, Samir Mohamed al-Loaibi has been fired.

The statement added that Sadr also decided to freeze activities of the brigades in southern Iraq, as well as dispatching a delegation to support security apparatuses in Basra.

He directed all the brigades to abide by fighting only and not to interfere in services sector or they will be punished.
