Patriotic Union of Kurdistan (PUK) claimed on Saturday in a statement that supporters of some political blocs have seized parliamentary elections ballot boxes in Kirkuk city with support of armed groups belong to these blocs due to the lack of surveillance cameras.
PUK demanded the High Electoral Commission (HEC) to take into account the legal evidence that prove existence of electoral fraud.
It pointed out that PUK do not object any legal action that serves the democratic process and the will of Iraqi voters in Kirkuk.
On May 28, Iraqi parliament has voted in favor of scraping the results of the Iraqi elections abroad. It also decided to revoke results of the elections held in the displaced camps in Salahuddin, Nineveh, Diyala and Anbar.
Elections results in Kurdistan region and Kirkuk were canceled also by the parliament due to existence of electoral fraud.
The parliament said there are proofs elections held in these areas had been rigged.
