Iraqi security forces say they have arrested
five ISIS-linked terrorists in western Mosul, the Baghdad Post reported Monday.
The arrest was made based on accurate tip-off from local residents, a police official said by phone.
Thousands of people have been arrested by Iraqi forces for suspected ISIS links since the terror group was ousted from its largest stronghold in Mosul last year.
In late December 2017, PM Haider Abadi declared defeat of ISIS. But the terror group's sleeper cells still carry out sporadic attacks against civilians and facilities.
