Strikes in Iran's Baneh enter 23rd day, Mullahs's fall imminent

 

Merchants in Baneh, west of Iran continued for the 23rd day of the nationwide strike in protest to the closing of borders and raising tariffs, sources told the Baghdad Post Monday.

The protest strike continued while the government deployed a large number of repressive IRGC mercenaries from other cities of Kurdistan to different parts of Baneh, and the city is currently in a state of unannounced martial law.Iranian plainclothes agents and state police patrol the city.

However, more than 90 people have been summoned to the Baneh intelligence ministry and some Kurdish clerical individuals have been threatened.

Protesters declined calls by Baneh MP Mohsen Beegleri and Osman Moravati, the head of the Baneh Chamber of Commerceto end their strike.
