Israeli Defense Minister Avigdor Lieberman reiterated threats against any Iranian attempts to jeopardize the Israeli security, stressing such attempts will trigger "a price to be paid".
cautioned Iran that “there is a price to be paid” for jeopardizing Israeli security. In April, Tehran slammed Israel for hitting a Syrian base, reportedly killing seven Iranians.
In statements to Israeli Radio, Liberman added that "Those who threaten [Israel] need to understand there is a price to be paid". "The State of Israel is acting out of a lack of choice and in today's situation we have no other choice."
Tensions are going high between Iran and Israel after the latter launched strikes against Syria’s T-4 airbase in Homs province, killing Iranian officers.
Iran seeks to establish a permanent base in Syria, a move that Israel strictly opposes.
