Bin Salman signs deal to localize Saudi military manufacturing
The Saudi Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman patronized a signing ceremony for the establishment of a joint project in Seattle. The project aims at localizing more than 55% of Saudi Arabia’s fixed-wing aircraft and helicopter maintenance, repairs and rehabilitation, Al Arabiya reported on Saturday.

The agreement complies with the goals set out in the kingdom's Vision 2030 that states that 50 percent of Saudi Arabia’s military spending will be localized.

The deal was signed by Ahmed Al-Khateeb, chairman of the board of directors of the Saudi Military Industries Company (SAMI) and Boeing CEO and chairman of board of directors Dennis Muilenburg.

During his tour at the company, bin Salman was briefed on the activities of Boeing Aircraft Industries, accompanied by Prince Khalid bin Salman bin Abdulaziz, Saudi Ambassador to the United States of America, and members of the official delegation accompanying the Crown Prince.

The CP is in a multi-city tour in the United States, began with meeting with President Donald Trump in Washington on March 21.
