Oil ministry to offer new patches to excavate soon

The oil ministry announced Thursday it will hold a conference soon to declare new batch permits to discover new excavation spots on border areas.

The new permits' batch will include 11 exploration patches in along the Iraqi-Iranian, Iraqi-Kuwaiti borders, including a coastal patch overlooking the Arabian Gulf, according the ministry's spokesperson Assem Jehad.

"The conference will be attended by 15 international companies compete to develop the exploration patches," Jehad added.
